Q: honday Odyssey touring package – Michelin® PAX® System Run-Flat Technology, anyone know how it works?
The honda Odyssey touring package comes with the Michelin® PAX® System Run-Flat Technology. Anyone knows how it works, what happen if there’s a flat tire? Can I bring it back to the dealer to fix the tire for free?

A: The Run flat Is A Tire That, If You Have A Flat Tire it Will Get You 50-75 Miles To Get To A Service Station To Get it Fixed
It Happened To Me Once On My 2006 Sienna And I Got 60 Mile On A Flat And Honda Will Fix It For Free
Because The Toyota Dealership Fixed Mine For Free

Q: how much should I ask for 2003 honday odyssey EX-L?
I am the only owner of this van and its paid off. I really want to get a 2010 but can’t seem to find a buyer for my silver EX-L. And how much doesn’t anyone know I can get to buy a new one?

A: Look up NADA car value or Kelley blue book on Google.
Post ad for free on craigslist.
Give it some time.

Q: 1999 honday odyssey keeps turning off?
I bought this van and it’s roomy, nice driving but it keeps turning off and I do follow the instructions or so I believe. I turn on the key and then as soon as the key indicator dissapears I turn on the vehicle then start driving and then it shuts off. I can be in the road or on the freeway. Advice pls.? Do other vans do this like the toyota or the caravan?

A: You are not the only one with this problem. There was a recall!

See this link: http://honda.justanswer.com/odyssey/1b1ki-1999-honda-odyssey-shut-off

Q: Just bought Honday Odyssey. Looking to add DVD player after market. What do you think works best in Odyssey?

A: I don’t know where you live but if you have a local electronic store or car ausio place go there

Q: Honday Odyssey or Toyota Sienna?
If you were to choose between the two minivans, which one would you buy and why?
There is no way I am choosing a Korean minivan, or even an American minivan over a Toyota or a Honda. It just wouldn’t make sense.

A: We went with the 2006 Honda only because of the styling. It’s basically a coin toss. You can’t go wrong with either one. They are the top-rated minivans, and have been for several years.

Q: Is it possible to swap the XM brain for Sirius in my 2007 Honda Odyssey?
I have seen similar ads for GM vehicles that allow you swap the “brain” of your receiver from XM to Sirius, but I haven’t seen anything for my 2007 Honday Odyssey.

A: Sattelite radio is overrated. Buy some cd’s.

You could just wait until they merge too.

Q: Winter tires for Honday Odyssey?
There isn’t too much available, either sold out or not carried. My choices are:
Toyo OBSERVE G-02 plus or Hankook i*pike RW11
What do you think?

A: There are a lot of tires out there. go online to the Tire Rack.com They are pros at selling tires and have a lot of them in different brands.

Q: Changing the Air Filer on a 2004 Honday Odyssey?
How do you change the air filer on a 2004 Honda Odyssey? I bought the car used, and got the oil changed yesterday, and they suggested changing the air filer (they showed it to me, it is rather dirty), but I wasnt going to pay them $35 for the filer and who knows how much to install it. So I went to Walmart and bought a replacement filter for $15 and went home to change it. Now, the lid on this particular air box is screwed on. I got the front 2 screws off, but when I tried to open it, I noticed there are also 2 in the back- and those 2 screws are purposely placed way down in there, with other components pressed up against them, so that you cannot reach in there with a normal screwdriver, drill, or socket set. So- how do you get to these 2 screws to make the change? Is there a special tool to reach down in there that can be bought? I’m really annoyed how they have obviously gone to lengths to make it so that you’ll pay the dealerr to do what is normally a very easy job…

A: Get a manual if you are going to do your own work. Otherwise, find a good mechanic. There are a llot of simple things that you can screw up on a car if you don’t know what you are doing, and the results will be very expensive.

There is such a thing as “economy at any cost.”

Q: Check gas cap message on a Honda Odyssey?
The check gas cap message began flashing on a Honday Odyssey – 05. I put more gas in, made sure the cap was tight and it still didn’t go off. I have filled the car a number of times and have driven 100’s of miles and it is still blinking with the same message.

Anyone know about this issue?

A: most newer vehicles will do this, first off you did the correct thing by tightning it. but the code hasn’t gone away, disconnect the battery for like 30 sec. and it should erase the code

Q: 2008 Odyssey Navigation DVD?
I brought new 2008 Honday odyssey recently and found that there is no Navigation DVD in the kit. Does 2008 Honda Odyssey comes with Navigation DVD? or Do I need to buy it? What If I need to reset my Navigation system? Thank you.

A: It should already be installed in the DVD drive under the driver seat. If your navigation system doesn’t work then you don’t have the disc. The empty case in the glove box doesn’t mean you didn’t get one.

Unless you live in an area that has heavy construction or travel a lot then you will not need to update the disc, maybe every two to three years.

Q: Is a Honda Odyssey more likely to survive a million miles than other brands of minivans?
Or is Honday quality only relevant during the first 100,000 miles?

A: It depends what year. Odysseys are notorious for crappy transmissions.

Q: 2006 Honda Odyssey Nav System Not Mapping?
I am on a road trip in my 06 Honday Odyssey Touring edition. The nav system will allow me to search for places and addresses, but when I choose something to map, it will say “Now calculating route…” but then will freeze. I can cancel the route, but then when I put it on the map, it shows a random map and freezes again. Since I am on the road right now, I really need the GPS to work. Other than checking the DVD ( i will when I stop), what else could be wrong?

A: Where did you buy this nav system?

Q: Question on 2007 Honda Odeyssey windshield mist?
My 2007 Honday Odyssey has got it’s windshield mist not working. it is now very hard in winter with out the mist to clear up the indshiled fluid. I have used the fluid that’s good for subzero temperatures. Still not working. Somebody has told me to replace the fuse. Please let knoe if that’s an option. Also, I don’t know where the fuse is, how to replace, where to get the parts. If not please let me know if you have any other suggestions.

A: your problem is more often that the jet that the water is sprayed out of is clogged or that the lines to bring the water to the jets are frozen.

open your hood and look under the part nearest to the windshield. you should see two black rubber hoses that go to the jets.

disconnect one of the hoses then get in the car and try to use the windshield washers. if water comes out of the hose then the jet is clogged with dirt or debris. you can usuall clean out the jet with a sewing needle or thumb tack by working it in from the outside in.

if the water doesn’t come out, then feel back on the hose to see if its frozen.

you can usually hear the pump run. if you dont’ hear it run then check the pump would be bad. if the windshield wipers work its not the fuse because the wipers and the washers are on the same fuse

I think you’ll just find that the line is clogged

hope that helps

Q: 2003 Honda Odyssey won’t start when cold outside?
My Honday won’t start when is cold outside. Once is warm outside no problem, starts right up and it doesn’t cut off or anything. When is cold it cranks and the lights come up but it just won’t start. I use the recomended gas per the owners book and the battery is brand new. What could it be?

A: Your car has many sensors that tell the computer to compensate for different temperatures, etc. One of these is likely bad, and not telling the computer the correct ambient air temperature. Take your car to a mechanic to have the computer scanned for codes. You may have to leave it on a night it will be cold so that they can replicate your problem on a cold morning. Good luck with it.

Q: Buying good mini-vans to be fitted with……… ?
To make a longer story a little shorter; I had an operation two years ago which left me primarilly confined to a wheelchair. I am learning to walk some again with a walker & I also have a ” special ” step-son who is completely non-ambulatory and completely confined to a wheelchair.

As such; I am looking to purchase a good used mini-van which will be fitted with a wheelchair lift ?

My wife has a friend whose husband has been confined primarilly to a wheelchair for many years & he maintains that he has found that the only mini-van that is roomy enough for him to get in and out of is the Toyota Sienna ?

I observed that various sources ( such as Consumer Reports ) lists the 2005 Toyota Sienna as one of the best used mini-vans however I have also observed that Edmunds lists 2001- 2006 Honda Odyssey as the best used mini-vans ?

I have found Dealers in my area with 2004 or 2005 models of Toyota Sienna and/ or Honday Odyssey with between 22,000 to 36,000 miles on them.

Having said that…….which is the better Mini-van ( Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey ) to buy used to modify for my wheelchair needs ?

Are there better used mini-vans for my purpose ?

What are the pros & cons of used Toyota Sienna vs. Honda Odyssey ?

I saw a review on a 2005 Toyota Sienna where the owner said the van developed major problems from 36,000 on so….how important is mileage on either of these used mini-vans ?

A: Honda Odyssey & Toyota Sienna are the best mini vans.

look at the Honda Element it has a unique door set up.

http://www.mobilityvansales.com/handicap-vans-sales/used-vans/USED-2006-HONDA-ELEMENT-HANDICAP-SPORTS%20HATCH-FOR-SALE-SANTA%20ANA-CALIFORNIA.htm

also look at the Kia Rondo value priced

avoid the 05 Odyssey & 04 Seinna

Lookin for a new Chevy Corvette Convertible?
Q: 1984 Chevy Corvette Convertible Bumper light, where do I get one?
My friend has a 1984 corvette convertible and is missing a rear center bumper light, Where do I find one?

A: There were no convertibiles made by any GM division in 1984. The convertibile was reintroduced by GM in the Corvette in 1986. The rear center brakelight assembly for the convertibile is in the deck above the emblem.

Q: ‘01 Chevy Corvette Convertible?
Can a corvette convertible go through a regular car wash?

A: I never take mine thru a regular car wash. I paid way too much for it to risk damage to the undercarriage and also damage to the paint. Commercial car washes are very hard on your paintjob. Find a good hand car wash or do it yourself.

Q: Which is better, Porsche Cayman S or C6 Chevy Corvette Convertible?
I need straightforward answers.. thanks…

A: well straight fowerd th e corvette would win becaus eof its v8 with 400bhp and its torque of 400 pound feet

Q: Problems with a 1987 Chevy Corvette with a 4+3 manual transmission?
I have a 1987 Chevy Corvette Convertible with a 4+3 manual transmission with less than 50,000 original miles. Yesterday when I started it the clutch would not fully engage and the car started backing up even though the clutch was fully depressed. When I tried to stop and shift into 1st the shift lever would not budge…it was like I was not pushing the clutch at all. I had noticed the day before that the shifting lever was hard to operate. I don’t suppose there could be an “inexpensive” explanation for this or is it something that is going to cost me another 500 bucks to fix?

Van

There are two types of people in this world…Corvette owners…and them that wish they were!

A: Sounds like a hydraulic clutch problem. First check the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder. If it’s too low, it may have sucked air into the line.

Put me down as one of those that wishes I was . . .

Q: i have a 1969 chevy impala convertible with an original L48 350ci/300hp corvette engine, how rare is this?
I know how much this car is worth without this engine but I want to know if this was an engine option that did not occur much in the impala in ‘69.

A: Perhaps one of the most lovable collectors items today. We have a few in our country with the original paint, interior, engines and gear boxes and very carefully maintained. I cannot confirm the engine on one of the cars, since it has been a long time when we talked to the owner about him selling the car, but I recollect it was a V-8. The white wall tyres and covers were original as well. In 1992 he wanted US$ 20,000/- and I am sure someone must have paid him that amount.

Q: Whats a 1988 Chevy Corvette 35th Anniversary Edition Convertible hardtop worth? Showroom Condition.?
White on White. Hardly driven. Garage kept. Like it just come off the Showroom floor. NICE!!!!

A: I agree with the above post, but what something may be worth and what you might get for it are 2 totally different things. Since you can get many C5s now for low 20K with low mileage, including some older Z06s, it will be a tough sell unless someone specifically loves the C4 chassis Corvettes. I was a big C4 fan until I drove a C5.

Q: Compare 1998 corvette to 2005 Nissan 350Z convertible?
I am looking at trading my 1998 Chevy Corvette for a 2005 Nissan 350Z convertible.Do you think I will be happy with the Nissan?I have had the corvette for about 6 years.

A: i know a couple a guy’s with 350z’s and they luv’em, they are fast, handle great BUT when they need fixin, holy smoke are their part’s COSTLY, out side of that they are a sweet ride but then so is the vett.

Q: Why is my 1991 corvette convertible overheating?
I have a 1991 chevy corvette with a 5.7L engine. I am having problems with temperature gauge showing 260 degrees F at the red line when the vehicle sits running at idle after 10 minutes. I have flushed the radiator, put in a new water pump, put in a new thermostat, and replaced the secondary radiator fan relay. What else could be causing the vehicle to overheat? I have spent countless hours doing these repairs with my father-in-law and have spent over $150 in parts… Any suggestions at all will be appreciated… thank you ahead of time
of course we have checked the oil and that has nothing to do with it unless it had a cracked head which it doesnt

A: maybe because a old car and new things on it caused a problem idk take it to a car tuner so they could fix it up to see what the problem is

Q: 1960 chevrolet bel air 2-dr sedan, 67 plymouth barracuda, 68 corvette convertible…?
78 chevy malibu, 68 camaro rs, 67 ford falcon sport coup, 60 chrysler 300 f? or your pick for the best classic muscle cars?

A: My 1972 Ford Cabri…… christ I miss that thing.

Q: is this too much for a car?
i found a car that i really like! it is a 1966 chevy corvette convertible! it is candy apple red with a black top! it is in perfect condition – no scratches, all original interior, and has never been wrecked! it is so pretty! only prob is: the seller wants $150 for it! is that too much to pay?

A: YUK, YUK, tell me another joke

Q: What are the following cars, trucks,&suv’s? What are the makes, models,&years? Please answer as many as you can?
What are the following cars, trucks,& suv’s? What are the makes, models,&years? Please answer as many as you can possibly name. I am putting the following in my automobile collection, and I’d like to know the make, model, and year of each one, if possible.

http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo183/cameraman_015/BrandonsCamera751.jpg

I believe this is some kind of old Buick, but I don’t know for sure. But, if I’m wrong, what is the make, model, and year?

http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo183/cameraman_015/BrandonsCamera748.jpg

Q: Opinions of 2006 corvettes?
What’s your opinion of 2006 Chevy convertible Corvettes?
-color?
-reliability?
-price?
-what do you think of the look?

A: I have an 05 coupe that I love. It’s LeMans Blue and it’s great. I know several ppl that have both coupes and verts and love them. For the $50,000 that I paid for it, it was a bargain. Performance, good looks and reliability. What more could I want?

Q: opinions of 2006 corvettes?
What’s your opinion of 2006 Chevy convertible Corvettes?
-color?
-reliabilirty?
-price?
-what do you think of the look?

A: Like them a lot. The C6 looks a lot better than the C5. Mainly because they do not have the flip up lights anymore and look a lot more sleak and clean. My friend has a 2007 Z06 and it’s sickest car if you can afford it. Performance is awsome and all that comes with it is unbeatable. Plus everything stock with them looks good including the rims. His color is the nicest I have seen it really stands out and sets it apart from the other vettes out there. It’s the La Mans blue which is not offered anymore. But you can get it matched it was the same color of the C6 ZR-1 first production vette. this is his 10th corvette and says that he will own nothing but a vette, they are really reliable. The price for a 06 used depending on miles can be from high 40,000 to as low as maybe 20’s if it has a lot of miles. Used Z06 with around 10,000 miles is around $75,000. Love the cars and think it is the best designed corvette so far. If you wanna see a really tight C6 vette look at Pratt and Millers C6RS. You can take the C6 you have and have them upgrade it for you to be like their race cars. http://www.prattmiller.com/c6rs/

Q: How do I start learning about/getting into cars?
I always hear my friends talk about cars like Ford Mustangs, Ferraris, Chevy Camaros, Volvo Convertibles, Corvettes, Maseratis, Mercedes and Porsches just to name some that my friend told me about. What do these names mean and how do I “name” a car when I see it? For example, when somebody sees a Ford Mustang, how do they know it’s a Ford Mustang and how can they tell?

Yes I am stupid for not knowing about this.
Yes it is and this is so confusing.

A: Car magazines; subscribe to one or two, or check your library.

JJ

Q: which do you like better…?
nissan 350z 2008 or chevy corvette 2007 convertible

A: nissan 350z

Q: What would you think of a guy who drives a bright yellow corvette convertible?
I went on a date with a guy (he’s 32 years old) and he seems really down to earth, but then we walked out to his car and it was a bright yellow corvette convertible. It completely threw me off, so I’m curious if I have a skewed stereotype of the type of guy who would drive one. Any thoughts?

A: I think you’re right to be concerned – sometimes a guy with a car like this fancies himself a player.

Watch “Suspicion” tonight on Turner Classic Movies and see if he’s like the Cary Grant character.

Questions – does he call you by a nickname? Does he brag about getting away with lying? Does he speak slightingly of his mother? Does he use derogatory terms about women? In real life, those are the traits of player-pretenders — you should run.

Q: How many rear view mirrors does a 1972 Corvette Convertible have?
Does a 1972 Corvette Convertible have one rear view mirror on the drivers door or does it have two mirrors, one on each door. I am interested in purchasing a car and I am not sure if the passenger door is original or from a different year car. Thank you for you help.

A: only has one..on the drivers door

Q: 1984 Chevy Corvette Convertible Bumper light, where do I get one?
My friend has a 1984 corvette convertible and is missing a rear center bumper light, Where do I find one?

A: There were no convertibiles made by any GM division in 1984. The convertibile was reintroduced by GM in the Corvette in 1986. The rear center brakelight assembly for the convertibile is in the deck above the emblem.

Q: How much is a turbo charger for a corvette convertible 2010?
Hey guys im turning 18 and am curious how much would it cost to put a turbo charger on my corvette to add about 400 hp-600hp and a body kit. Thanks in advance
Thanks guys btw my dad isnt getting me this car its all me. Im gonna get a job that pays over 100k in computers so please dont say im leaching off my parents.

A: You would be better off super charging a Corvette vs turbo charging.

You can put a Procharger on for about $7,000 installed. Go to West Coast Corvettes and check out the options. Magnusson’s are a little more expensive, and will require an after market hood as well. This may not be an issue if you are going with a body kit.

Check out East Coast Superchargers – they do great work. However, unless you don’t care about the warranty on the car, supercharging or turbocharging WILL void the warranty.

You may also want to consider upgrading the brake system to the ZO6 brakes (or comparable aftermarket). That much more horsepower will require better stopping power.

All this being said, I would not do any of the above. Go with a cold air induction unit, long tube headers, hi flow cats and a good exhaust system (recommend Corsa). Better than that, just buy a ZO6 or a ZR1.

Something to consider…A stock C6 Corvette with 436hp will smoke 95% of the cars on the road. The car only weighs 3100lbs. Doing the above will give you about 35-40 more hp which will take care of another 2-3%.

Q: Is it legal to allow my baby to ride in my 1986 corvette convertible?
Is my girlfriend allowed to ride on the center console, and have the carseat belted down on the passengers seat?
I have no other transportation and need to use the corvette just for temporary….baby is 9 months old….no I have no plans to sell the car or trade it in for a minivan.
I live in Michigan.
Don’t want to risk getting a ticket.

A: First of all, there is no law mandating the seating of a child in a vehicle that has two rows of seats. That would eliminate a lot of pick up trucks and a few other vehicles.

Second of all, the car does not have a passenger side air bag.

It is completely safe to tote your child around in your Corvette if you have them properly secured. You unfortunately will not be legal with an additional person riding with you as they will be improperly secured.

Q: Is Chevrolet planning at anytime to make a Corvette ZR1 Convertible?
I like Corvette’s but i want a fast convertible and all my friends have been telling me to get a dodge viper but the performance of the corvette is way better

so i wanted to know if they Corvette were ever going to make a ZR1 Convertible

thank you

A: There are no plans so far. Keep an eye on the major auto shows like the upcoming Detroit Auto Show. This is when General Motors will debut their concept cars.

I agree with ls1bird. the roof is a major structural component of a car. Making this car a convertible would introduce body flex and reduce it’s outstanding cornering abilities.

Q: My boyfriend and I are planning a trip, driving our Corvette Convertible to the Northestern states.?
We will be leaving around the 5th or 6th of Sept. Wouldl like to hug the coastline so would be grateful for routes and suggestions of places to go and visit. Instead of making reservations, we were just going to go with the flow. Thought we would drive straight to Maine and drive south from there. Any suggestions would be grateful. I love watching Ghosthunters so if there is any suggestions to stop somewhere, that would be appreciated also.

A: Get started right away and send for tourist brochures and maps from all the states you’ll be visiting. You can get the addresses via Google.com Advanced Search.

Mobil Travel Guides, although rather expensive, give listings of restaurants, hotels and motels, and interesting sights and attractions. Check them out at a bookstore.

You could see and do more with a slightly circular route, depending on where you’re starting from. I like the Strong Museum of Play in Rochester, New York (http://museumofplay.org — a great toy and play museum for all ages). A little further south in New York State is scenic wine country, with tours and such.

Q: how to replace the front speakers, 1990 corvette convertible?
how do you replace the front speakers in a 1990 corvette convertible? I believe they are 4×6’s. We can’t get the panel off to access them without breaking it… does anyone know how?

A: if ur that woried about not getting another take the door panel out.

Q: Can a 335i BMW (Steptronic) beat a stock 2003 Corvette Convertible in a 1/4 mile drag race ?
I am not sure what year the BMW is but I assume it is a 05′ or ‘04 .

A: 2007 is the first year BMW had a 335i.

And looking at the specs from autos.msn.com, it’s a driver’s race.

Q: Need help. 2005 Corvette convertible or 2005 Mercedes slk 350. Which is better and more reliable?
Is the Mercedes a money pit? Rarely see them on the road. Opinions greatly appreciated.

A: I would buy the mercedes slk 350, My father in law has 2 vettes, I have driven them both frequently ( to the dealer on more than one occasion) I have a mercedes E320 4matic. which is the daily driver. My mercedes has 74000 miles on it and requires little or no maintainace that I cannot do myself. I could go to the dealer for my yearly service but all the parts are readily available online for a reasonable cost. My merc. is fully loaded, heated mirrors, seats, washer fluid, power seats. car tells me how much oil, washer fluid, outside temp, premium sound cd,tape, alarm, traction contol all wheel drive 281 hp (nice) it even washes its own head lights, anyway… They don’t make a corvette that can compete with my E class daily driver not to mention a slk. BTW my father in law prefers to take the mercedes to the gollf course when we golf and every once in a while I will let him drive. I have never driven a car as nice and reliable as my mercedes benz. Both vettes, one convertible and one t-top are exteremely loud(thats why the have bose systems otherwise you wouldnt hear the radio) and the handling sucks, driving on the freeway with ruts is like a rollercoaster with your eyes closed, just hold onto the wheel. Granted my benz was $62k new but they are in a different class.

Q: What is the value of 1982 corvette convertible in mint condition, only 1800 miles?

A: cars like that are only worth what a collecter will pay. look at others on the internet and see what they are going for. a collecter will give you good money for it.

Q: How much would servicing be for a 2006 Chevrolet Convertible Corvette? Just a tire change and tire rotation?
I need a mechanic to answer this one!!!

A: call a mechanic and find out, lol.
Don’t you know how to use a phone?

Oh ya, you also need a phone book, too.

Q: I have located a 1958 Corvette Convertible with a 2-speed automatic tyranny. How rare is this combo?

A: That combo isn’t very rare, at least not more so than the car itself. 2,057 cars came with the powerglide that year. The other alternatives would be the 3-speed manual, or the rare 4-speed, of which there were only 600 some odd ordered.

Q: My 2001 convertible corvette makes A loud noise like A vent opening when I reach 140mph.Why does this happen?
The noise start at about 136mph and when I reach 140mph there is A loud noise like some window opened or some duct or vent opens. The performance is not affected, when I slow down the noise decreases. Can anyone tell me why? Is this normal?

A: it is probably the cops car behind you trying to catch up to give you a speeding ticket… better get the lead out of your foot!

Q: how much does a teenage car insurance for a 1991 chevolet corvette convertible cost per month?
my grades havent been good till this year i kinda have a bad record idk if that would effect it so ya i no i turn 16 on tuesday and im getting the car for my bday so i need to no quickly how much the insurence would cost thanks

A: It’ll cost you about $140, give or less $150 depending who owns the car, where you live and about twenty more things.

You can only be on your parents own insurance so ask them to ask their insurer.

Q: 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible?
My girlfriends uncle has an old 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible and its in bad shape, i’ve never seen it its out on her grandparents farm in Winnipeg but apparently looks like a cow ran into the back end… How hard would u say it would be to repair it, is it worth it…i’ve done work on cars but nothing to this degree and I only know the minimal things. Its been kept outside too for years only covered by a car cover and a tarp. How much would it cost, any ideas?

A: The car has a fiber glass body. If you’re planning on doing your own repairs and do not have previous experience with this type of material, don’t even think about it.

A: I just got a 2007 XKR. I’m not a bit sorry.
It’s fast, comfortable, and gorgeous. Not in the same league as the other cars.

Q: What is your opinion on buying cars on eBay?
Is it safe enough?

A: I’ve sold a vehicle on e-bay and it worked out well for both the buyer and seller. E-bay motors has some good guidelines. Here are some suggestions:
Don’t do anything you wouldn’t normally do when buying a car such as sending money to a stranger.
You must see and drive it first before paying. If it isn’t what the seller advertised, you must NOT buy.
As always when buying a used car, or any car, let the buyer beware.
Nice car. Hope you like red!

Q: 2000 Corvette Vertical Doors?
I want to get vertical doors for my 2000 corvette convertible. It cost about 1k for a good kit from

http://www.automotiveconcepts.net/store/Chevrolet-Corvette_product_17433.html?utm_source=google_prod
ucts&utm_medium=organic

Anyway, i wanted to know about how much do you think an auto body would charge me to install this?

A: I suggest you give the job to a shop that SPECIALIZES in Corvettes, such as

http://www.corvettespecialty.com/wwwstore/

Then, you will know the job is done right the first time.

Q: Cadillac or Corvette?
is corvette the same thing as Chevrolet or something? why is it called Chevrolet corvette?? whats better a convertible Cadillac, a convertible corvette, a convertible Porsche, a convertible Pontiac, convertible Audi or a convertible BMW? list them from 1 -6 (the great to least)
which would look better a white car or a black???

A: Ok, first off, Chevrolet is the maker of the car Corvette, hence its called Chevrolet Corvette. Just like Honda Civic. And a car looks cool in white and hot in black…what you want depends on what you prefer: hot or cool look. And my list for convertibles if as following:
1. Porsche (Boxter is the only convertible they make, and nothing in the world drives the same as a Porsche).
2. BMW (not all BMW are beautiful as convertibles, but the one I would go for is the Z4, the only car that comes even close to the Boxter)
3. Audi (they have proved to be the best 4 seater convertibles, and the TT roadster is a very good car)
4. Corvette (though i would prefer the hardtop, because the converible loses with the top gone)
5. Cadillac (they have not been very good for the past couple of years, but with the CTS, they are edging in on the germans, although caddy has still not given any good convertibles, and the XLR is horrid to drive.)
6. Pontiac (the cars have no feel at all…horrible in every way)

Q: One Physics motion problem?
A Chevrolet Corvette convertible can brake to a stop from a speed of 60.0 mi/h in a distance of 123 ft on a level roadway. What is its stopping distance on a roadway sloping downward at an angle of 35.

???? ft

A: 1/2mV^2=m g (Ufric) d, & 1mph=5280ft/3600=1.46667 ft/sec ,
g=32 ft/sec^2
V2=2g Ufric d, V^2=64 x Ufric x d
[60(5280/36000]^2=123 x 64 x Ufric, Ufric=7744/123×64=0.9837
Then,1/2mV^2=(mgUfric – mgsin 35)d=mg(Ufric-sin 35)d
V^2=2g(0.9837- sin 35)d, d=7744/64(0.41)=295.03ft
God bless you.

Q: One Difficult Calculus Question?
1. A Chevrolet Corvette convertible can brake to a stop from a speed of 60.0 mi/h in a distance of 123 ft on a level roadway. What is its stopping distance on a roadway sloping downward at an angle of 35.0°?

???? ft

A: Acceleration due to friction is found by:

vf^2 = vi^2 + 2ad
a = 60mph^2 / 2d ~= -31.5ft/s^2

The new decelleration at a 35.0° down-angle will be:

31.5 ft/s^2 * cos 35 – g sin 35 = 7.43 ft/s^2

vf^2 = vi^2 + 2ad

d = (60mph)^2 / 2 (7.43 ft/s^2) ~= 521 feet

No calculus required.

Q: Do You Agree Cars Made In America Are More Patriotic Than Cars Made In Mexico Or Canada?
Forbes Magazine also thinks so.

These cars have the most American made parts. Also, some have top ratings for either quality and/or safety.

Pontiac G6 ( Coupe / 86% Domestic Content)
Chevrolet Malibu Maxx ( Hatchback / 86%)
Mercury Montego ( Sedan / 75%)
Ford Freestyle or Taurus X ( Wagon / 80 %)
Chevrolet Corvette Convertible ( Convertible / 85% )
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 ( Sports Car / 85%)
Lincoln MKX ( SUV / 95% )
Hybrid — Saturn Aura Green Line (86% )
Cadillac STS ( Luxury Car / 75% )
Lincoln Mark LT ( Truck / 80% and said to be better than Mexico’s Cadillac Escalade EXT)

“Forbes: The Ten Most Patriotic Vehicles “

http://www.forbesautos.com/slideshows/advice/toptens/2007/top-10-most-patriotic-vehicles_1.html?thisSpeed=13000
Toyota Sienna ( minivan / 85% Domestic Content)
Forbes:”Level Field Institute (LFI), a group representing U.S.-based automakers and suppliers… says that buying a domestic-brand car, even if it’s produced elsewhere, supports significantly more U.S. jobs than buying a foreign-brand car that’s assembled in the U.S., as most of the lucrative engineering, design and executive jobs of foreign car companies are still located overseas. For example, LFI says that buying a Ford Fusion assembled in Mexico will support about six times as many jobs as a Hyundai Sonata assembled in Alabama. “
For Nannie: Patriotism is also doing what is best for a country. For example, Japanese try to buy Japanese products just because it helps to improve the stand of living and make the country richer. And China’s government limits the amount of imports of foreign made products to increase the country’s wealth. China was even taxing foreign made cars with a 100% tax. All of the tens of thousands of expensive Mercedes and BMWs in China really cost the owners double the price as in America.

Also, China refuses to let most companies sell products in China if the company does not make a factory there. Microsoft was forced to hire Chinese workers just to sell Windows and Office there. Also, Motorola couldn’t sell U.S. made cell phones in China. Motorola now sells Chinese made Motorola cell phones in China. Since Motorola taught China how to make cell phones, there are now Chinese cell phone makers that now compete with Motorola. (Cellphones were invented in America decades ago)

A: Toyota is being made here in the US.

Funny, American companies can’t seem to make American cars in America. But Japan can?

Q: I made a list of what I think are the top twelve cars ever tell me what you think of the list?
In order by year they came out not by favorite:
1953 Chevrolet corvette
1954 Chevrolet Bel Air
1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria
1956 dodge coronet
1956 Cadillac Eldorado
1957 Pontiac Bonneville
1959 Ford Thunderbird Convertible
1960 El Camino
1961 Chevrolet mako shark
1963 Studebaker Avanti
1969 Chevrolet Chevelle yenko 427
1969 Baldwin motion

A: you did pretty good on that one,,but you left a real good one out,the dodge challenger hemi cars,,and the older mustang gt,s were good, other than that ,,id like to own one of each of those,,they would be worth some good money ,good luck hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.

Q: Which car would you rather have?
2010 Ford Shelby GT500

http://autos.yahoo.com/2010_ford_shelby_gt500_convertible/

2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 ZR-3

http://autos.yahoo.com/2009_chevrolet_corvette_zr1_zr_3/

or

2009 Dodge Viper SRT-10 Convertible

http://autos.yahoo.com/2009_dodge_viper_srt_10_convertible/;_ylt=Ar5WFi7RUm2u6gZCqmnocdcwhb8F;_ylv=3

A: They are all Nasty looking (nasty meaning good looking)

Im a Chevy girl.. so im goin with the corvette

Q: mustang convertible ?
Where online can i look up a price for a deluxe convertible mustang wothout giving my information ?
I have alredy tried cars.com and autotrader.com

A: Go to ebaymotors.com and just start looking at the prices that they are selling for. Or you can go to kelly blue book (kbb.com).

Q: Where can I find a stock mustang convertible top for 2002?
I might be buying a mustang convertible that just needs a new top to look good.

Where can I find a top that is the same that they come with stock? [Or a better looking one without it being too expensive]

Its tan.
Well I can’t find anything else thats nice around here.

A: Just type “convertible tops” into google and you’ll get dozens of options.

The top itself is pretty cheap but install costs a fortune and it’s way more work than the average do it yourselfer can handle.

Plan on about $1,200 installed.

Secondarily, are you sure you want that car? Mustangs of that age are garbage. (Current owner of a 2000 mustang convertible with 92,000 miles.)

Q: Mustang Convertible?
I was thinking about getting the newer mustang but as a convertble but before i do is the top durable or will i be replacing it some time soon?

A: all tops need a replacement sometime…it all depends how u take care of it

Q: Can I park my Mustang convertible outside during the winter?
I have a ‘99 Mustang convertible, and the house we’re moving into has no garage. Will I be able to park it outside during the winter? We only get snow 5-7 times per winter here, and as long as there’s not snow or ice on the roads, I drive the car daily.
My main concern in the top – is that material made to withstand snow and ice? Will it damage it?

A: Yes you can park it outside in the snow. They sell a lot of verts in the northern parts of the country and I see them daily even when its snowing. Personally I think that the tops get dirty much faster if driven in the winter because of the increase in road grime. Just wash your car regularly as you would in the summer and you should be alright.

Q: How much would a new convertible top be for my 06 mustang?
I purchased my mustang convertible and it has a tan roof, but it is stained and the thread is starting to come out. I want to get a black top. About how much does a new convertible top cost?

A: Anywhere between 1500 and 2000. Depending on who does it and what quality of top they use. You realize that the back window is a seperate part from the top. If you change colors that will need to be replaced as well. You might consider buying some fabric dye and coloring it yourself. Either that or park it on a dark street and hope someone cuts it. The insurance will pay for it then.

Q: Is it possible to turn a Classic Mustang Coupe into a Convertible?
I’ve always wanted the Mustang Convertible.

I’ve noticed that good Convertibles are much more expensive than good Coupes.

Is it possible to turn Coupe into a Convertible? Or would it be too costly?

Please don’t yell at me for wanting to butcher a classic car (which I have not done), I was only wondering if anyone knew how expensive this type of thing would be.

A: It is not possible. A convertible has much more bracing then a coupe. This bracing keeps the frame and body from flexing and keeps the car rigid. If you simply cut the top off a coupe you’d be left with a very unstable vehicle.

The cost of making it right would be much more than simply buying a ragtop to begin with.

Q: How much would a 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible and a 1963 Mercury Comet cost?
How much would these two cars cost? A 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible and a 1963 Mercury Comet. I want to know the price for each seperately. If you can, give me some links.

A: Mustang – ten to forty thousand..

   http://www.searchtheentirecraigslist.com/results.html?cx=002519136709929005474%3Ak0bfwxemloc&cof=FORID%3A9&ie=UTF-8&q=1965+mustang+convertible&sa=Search

Comet – Two to twenty thousand..

http://www.searchtheentirecraigslist.com/results.html?cx=002519136709929005474%3Ak0bfwxemloc&cof=FORID%3A9&ie=UTF-8&q=1963+mercury+comet&sa=Search

Q: How do I fix the button on my Mustang convertible?
I have a 2004 Mustang convertible and the button that opens the top was broken. I removed the button and cleaned the sand out of it. Now I want to put it back. Does anyone know where I can find a diagram of how it goes together?

A: It isn’t free but alldata.com has them.

Q: We just purchased a 1983 Mustang Convertible. What is the best thing to use for sealing up the window drafts?
Open air spaces where water shoots through, at car wash, and very noisy with the draft coming in on the highway. I assume that we replace the weather stripping, but I have been searching for any specialty products that may do the best possible job of sealing up this 1983 Ford Mustang Convertible.

A: I had one of those and had the same problem! First check to see that the top seats properly. The hinge bearings inside the trunk may be worn causing it not to sit on the windshield properly especially if the metal alignment points are missing on the tops frame. Make sure the locks are adjusted properly. It is possible to tighten the hold down hooks by loosing the lock nut and turning them clockwise, just remember to resecure the lock nut. If all else fails, there is no replacement for new seals than new seals. There worth the money and they eliminate the dreaded Chinese water torture.

Q: Can I use a mustang convertible top motor to replace one for an old impala?
I have a 1968 impala convertible that the motor does not work. A buddy told me I could use any motor for the top… suggested using one from a mustang since they are abundant and less expensive than the original units. Is a convertible top motor the same (excluding dimensions) as any convertible top motor?

A: What nobody here has thought of or told you is that it is just not the Motor. You have a Motor that pumps Hydraulic fluid, most of the time regular ATF Fluid, and you have two (2) Hydraulic Cylinders that raise and lower the top. If you do not hear the motor, then it is probably shot. If you hear it, it may not be pumping the required pressure or the cylinders may be shot and need replacing. You need to find out which it is.
A motor runs about $249, and a Pair of cylinders run around $269.
Some of the Chevy’s had a scissor top mechanism which was like a screw jack for raising and lowering and others had a pump motor with hydraulic cyliners. Also the Impala is a larger car and a heavier top so the pressure on it if it does have a pump may be higher than the one on the Mustang with a lighter top and a pump without as much pressure. If you could connect it, it might blow the packings out of the hydraulic cylinders on your mustang. I will give you a few sites you can go to and look up the parts.

Q: Do any of the 2010 mustang convertibles come in a hardtop convertible?
I was going to buy a mustang and was wondering if they make a hardtop convertible.
Thanks!

A: No however I think they might have glass tops like the 2009. The 20-10’s are NiiiiiiCeeee!!!! If I could I’d get one but I’m savin up for the 50th anniversary. I have a 2004 40th anniversary mustang. I’m buyin brand new special ordering that pony! Yaaaaa!!! =)

Q: I want to buy a 1960s Mustang Convertible, SUSPENSION QUESTION?
I finally have all my finances in order and I want to buy a 1966 or 1967 Mustang Convertible. I find that the straight 6 cylinders are much cheaper. I always wanted to build a powerful Ford Straight 6 300 motor. People tell me that the 6 cylinder Mustangs do not have the same suspension as the 8. What does it take to beef up the suspension? I want to keep it a 6, but I want to put in a powerful one, and change the transmission to a T-5 Tremec manual. I know this is all do-able, I just don’t know about the suspension part.

Personal expierence is always a plus!
I know the 300 6 isnt in the Mustang. Im getting it out of a F-150. I know about 6=8, Im using them for parts. I just need to know what I need to do to beef up the suspension.

A: You can use a lot of Mustang SVO, Lincoln and Ranger front end parts, also the old standby, Mustang ll, Granada and Fairmonts. You’ll want a rack and pinion too. I would recommend a subframe connector and rally bar for the engine bay.

or you could go with all old stuff from a v8 car, but I would recommend disc brakes. You can use a old parts catalog to see what is v8. Just about everything was upgraded between the 6 and 8

some will tell you it can’t be done, but I have seen it done. It’s just a real tight fit between the water pump and radiator.

I’ve been planing on building one myself and have most everything.

Here are two of my groups, let us know your progress

added:
that Mustang Monthly project 6 to 8 is pretty good and here are the complete stories including the Front suspension,
http://www.mustangmonthly.com/projectbuild/index.html
from our group links:

Q: Rear window fix for a 95 mustang convertible?
I have a 95 mustang convertible. It has a glass rear window. The window has either been popped, pried, or just knocked out. However, the glass is perfect. I just need to now what type of sealant i need to bond it back to my top, or what it will take to bond it. Thanks for your help.

A: This is a common problem with many cars.
It is delamination.
If the window is loose in spots, it can often be repaired with urethane adhesive like glass shops use for windshields.
If the glass is more than 30% delaminated, chances of fixing it are slim.
With the glass all the way out, you need a new window.
The top and window are separate on your car so can be replaced individually.
Installation instructions for the top and/or window can be found here http://www.topgunwon.com/DVD/

Karl at topgunwon.com

Q: how do you replace the back speakers of a 2000 mustang convertible?
i went to an auto place and they said i must remove the back seats and then remove the back side panels.

Not sure if this is accurate or not. but even so, i can not figure out how to remove the back seat, let alone the side panels.

can someone explain?
or send me to website that may help.

thanks a bunch.
TRBMan

again, it is a 2000 ford mustang convertible with the mach sound system.

A: There are two clips holding the seat cushion down. Get a small to medium sized screwdriver and slid it in between the seat cushion and the carpet. There are two buttons(one on each side)press the buttons with the screwdriver and pull up on the seat. Once both latches are released the seat cushion comes right out.

After the seat cushion is out you will see two bolts holding the seat back on. The bolts are located at the bottom edge(one on each side). Remove both bolts and pull up on seat back, it should slide out(may take a little wiggling to get past the seat belts).

Next remove the trim piece at the bottom of the door openings. They’re held by clips so pull up carefully.

The rear quarter panels are held in by push pins and clips, so all you need to do is remove all the push pins, disengage the clips and it should come right out. The speakers should now be in plain view.

Q: I need to sell my 1999 mustang convertible quickly, what would be the best way to do that?
I have a 1999 Ford Mustang convertible. I am trying to sell it quickly because my family needs the money, but I also don’t want to sell it for too much less than what it is worth. What is the best way to get it sold? It is in excellent condition and only has 70,000 miles on it, and the rag top was just replaced last year (which cost $2700) and it has a brand new brake system.

A: well first find out what they selling for go to ebay type in same car info then price it cheaper and place add in paper and online like craigslist an d wait

Q: Ford Mustang convertible rental in the USA?
I am driving between Las Vegas and San Francisco as part of my honeymoon next year and would like to hire a Ford Mustang convertible to do the job. This would obviously mean picking up the car at one location and dropping it off at another. Can anyone recommend a car hire company which offers this service please? I don’t think the usual car rental companies (Avis, Hertz, Budget, etc) have Ford Mustang convertibles.

Many thanks.

A: Hertz usually has the best deals for one-way rentals. Hertz can also arrange for a Mustang convertible, but you may have to request one in advance AND confirm your request the day before you expect to collect the car.

Hope you have a great trip!

If it doesn’t have a CD player, is it possible to install one? If so, about how much will it cost me? All possible answers are wanted. Thanks!

A: As mentioned, the ‘66 Mustang didn’t have a CD player available, CD’s weren’t around then. You can have an aftermarket stereo installed, including a trunk mounted CD changer, without cutting up the dash. Check out Mustang parts places such as National Parts Deports or Mustangs Plus. They will have all the stuff you need. A good system for one of these will run you from about $200-$800, depending on the stereo and options you choose.

Q: Cost to replace transmission on 2000 ford mustang convertible?
i’m looking into buying a 2000 ford mustang convertible. it needs its transmission rebuilt, or a new transmission put in, does anybody know how much it would cost to get a transmission taken out of a car, rebuilt, and put back in, or how much it would cost to get the transmission out, and a new transmission put in?

A: buy a hardtop

Q: If you buy a new Ford Mustang convertible, can you get a hard top for when you don’t want the convertible roof?
I have seen some convertible cars in the past where they have hard tops that can be placed on them. So basically you always have the option if you don’t want to be using the convertible. This might be something you would choose if it were cold weather, or perhaps for added security.

Does anyone know if a product like this is available for the new Ford Mustangs?

A: The extra Hardtop for Mustang convertibles are not available from Ford, however there are a couple of independent companies that manufacture custom hardtops.
Smoothline is one of them.

http://www.smoothline.com/

Q: Should I take 97′ Ford Explorer or the 01 Mustang Convertible?
I am moving to the mountains of North Carolina for school and have the option of taking my current 2001 Ford Mustang convertible or taking my older 97′ Ford Explorer.

I am not sure which to choose. Both get near the same gas mileage and really aren’t the ideal cars for snow. The explorer has more space but the mustang is easier to drive and park. What do you think?

A: take the Mustang, it’s not that hard to drive in the snow, Just as long as you know how to handle it

Good luck!

Q: 2004 ford mustang convertible 40th anniversary good deal?
is it a wise idea to buy a 3.9 v6 2004 ford mustang convertible 40th anniversary for 12k even including everything tax title leather etc. has 40k miles? what is the difference in the v6 base model and the 40th anniversary model. please help, i might buy tomorrow. i thought the only v6 in the 2004 was a 3.8 am i wrong?

A: Many 2004 Mustangs got 40th anniversary badging but not all of them are 40th Anniversary Special Edition Mustangs!

The special edition models were only available in black, white, and crimson red. They have body-color mirrors (like the 03-04 Cobra). They have gold hood and side stripes and the same color gold on the wheels. Unlike a lot of Special Edition Mustangs, this package was available on the v6 Mustang. Ford stated that only 5700 40th Special Editions were to be produced.

If it doesn’t have the gold stripes, or it isn’t white, black, or red, then it’s just a regular v6 convertible Mustang.

The 3.9 engine was introduced early in model year 2004 in the Mustang at the same time the Freestar was introduced. The stroke increased slightly and the piston changed slightly. With this almost negligible change in displacement the performance was the same as 3.8 and all external engine parts are the same as the 3.8

The way you can tell whether a 2004 Mustang has a 3.8 or a 3.9 is by the 8th digit in the VIN. It will be a “4″ for a 3.8 v6 and a “6″ for a 3.9 v6.

Kelly Blue book says that retail for the car would be approximately 14k if it was in excellent condition *and* it was really the 40th package. So if the car is really nice and you like it then it’s a fair price. I would still try talking them down, ask them to throw in a free extended warranty, or free routine maintenance for the next 2 years, or anything else to make the deal sweeter.

Q: How much is a 1973 Ford Mustang convertible?
I have a 1973 Ford Mustang Convertible.
Its got very low miles. I think something around 20,000.
its yellow and is in great shape.
runs very smooth and there is no major rust
interior is black leather in perfect condition!
great car. i just need to know about how much its worth

A: you know those speedometers roll over after 100k don’t you? it would be rare to have that low of miles, but it does and can be documented, I would guess the value at $20k, that’s not knowing the options.. and with that low miles, there shouldn’t be any wear..it’s almost a new car..

with over 100k I would have to say $8 to $12k

Q: When a car rental company says “Ford Mustang Convertible or similar” what are “similar” models of cars?
renting a convertible for a few days, looking to know what other models are considered on par or competitors of the ford mustang convertible.

A: the most common is the Chrysler Sebring Convertible

Enterprise has some Toyota Camry solaras and some mitsubishi eclipses.

my local office had a Saab 9-3 but that is a rarity.

Q: Difference bewteen Ford Mustang GT Deluxe Convertible and Premium Convertible?
What is the difference bewteen the Deluxe and the Premium version of the Ford Mustang Convertible? http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/mustang/

A: All it is really is a styling package. There is nothing performance wise that makes them different. They are just different options that are available like different rim sizes, DVD navigation, etc. Overall they are the same car, that does the same thing.

Q: Where is the amp on a 92 Ford Mustang (convertible) with premium sound?
The radio in my 92 Mustang convertible went dead a week ago. Now it works intermittently, for about 20 minutes or so, only to die again. I’m told the system has an external amp and that’s what’s going (the receiver appears to be still working). So, before I go junkyard hopping, does anyone know where the amp is? And is anyone making an aftermarket one that’s compatible with the stock system? Thanks for any replies.

A: the amp is under the radio behind the center stack

Q: How hard is it to replace the back glass of a 1994 ford mustang convertible?
The window has been sewn to the top. I’ve found a replacement glass from a salvage yard for a hundred dollars. Would it be better to find a entire top or can just the glass be replaced?

A: You can replace the glass only, I’d contact an upholstery shop.

Q: how do i make my 4 cylinder 1993 ford mustang convertible lx faster?
the only way i know how to do this is to get a v6 or v8 or use a manual transmission.. is there any other way possible i can make my car accelerate faster without getting a new engine or transmission? if so what do i do?

A: Look for a Merkur XR4Ti in the junkyards. They have exactly the same engine, except with a turbo. Thunderbird or Couger Turbo Coupes are the same story except that the later ones (‘87 and ‘88 I think) also had an intercooler, like the Mustang SVOs. If you can find one with a bad tranny or accident damage and a good motor, I would grab the entire engine. Make sure to grab the ECM and all the relevant portions of the wiring harness(careful, some ECMs will only work with either a manual or an auto tranny, not both). If you want to put a turbo (or a supercharger) on your existing motor, I would keep the boost very low unless you plan to rebuild the motor to handle the increased pressure and resulting extra strain.

Otherwise, you can add a few HP with high performance spark plugs and wires, a higher energy ignition coil, a low-resistance muffler (the good old turbo mufflers are cheap and work fine), and advance the timing a bit, but not enough to start the engine knocking. To advance the timing you may have to trick the ECM. I had to on my ‘91 Bronco by unplugging a connector while I advanced the timing and then reconnectig it after. These things won’t make a ‘Vette killer or anything, but they will make it a little faster, and you won’t need to open up the motor. You also might notice a slight improvement in gas mileage. I’ve done these things on several of my cars, and sometimes I got better mileage after. Good luck!

Q: What is a reasonable for a Used 2006 Ford Mustang Convertible?
I found one for 15k, and I was wondering if that’s a good deal or not
i guess i forgot to add price after reasonable in the title

A: Condition Value

Excellent $14,515
Good $13,665
Fair $12,515

A: call a mechanic and find out, lol.
Don’t you know how to use a phone?

Oh ya, you also need a phone book, too.

Q: Where is the Bose factory amplifier located in a 1999 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible?
Trying to install a DVD screen and looking to bypass the factory bose amplifier.

A: My 1972 Ford Cabri…… christ I miss that thing.

Q: Would you choose a 2007 Jaguar XKR Convertible or 2007 Corvette Convertible or Z06?
07 Jaguar XKR Covertible
07 Chevrolet Corvette Covertible or Z06

A: I just got a 2007 XKR. I’m not a bit sorry.
It’s fast, comfortable, and gorgeous. Not in the same league as the other cars.

Q: Which would you take out of the 2010 Chevrolet Corvette GrandSport Cabrio or 2010 Dodge Viper SRT10 Cabrio?
Which car would you rather have and why
i just want to know which car you would rather want to be able to own

Vettes are a dime a dozen mate.

Edit: Since 2008, Viper V10 produces 600bhp.

Q: What is your opinion on buying cars on eBay?
Is it safe enough?
I was planning on buying this car….

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevrolet-Corvette-Convertible-1959-Chevrolet-Corvette_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ65Q3a12Q7c66Q3a4Q7c39Q3a1Q7c72Q3a317Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a200QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem3ef62dc164QQitemZ270418166116QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks

???? ft

A: 1/2mV^2=m g (Ufric) d, & 1mph=5280ft/3600=1.46667 ft/sec ,
g=32 ft/sec^2
V2=2g Ufric d, V^2=64 x Ufric x d
[60(5280/36000]^2=123 x 64 x Ufric, Ufric=7744/123×64=0.9837
Then,1/2mV^2=(mgUfric – mgsin 35)d=mg(Ufric-sin 35)d
V^2=2g(0.9837- sin 35)d, d=7744/64(0.41)=295.03ft
God bless you.

Q: One Difficult Calculus Question?
1. A Chevrolet Corvette convertible can brake to a stop from a speed of 60.0 mi/h in a distance of 123 ft on a level roadway. What is its stopping distance on a roadway sloping downward at an angle of 35.0°?

???? ft

A: Acceleration due to friction is found by:

vf^2 = vi^2 + 2ad
a = 60mph^2 / 2d ~= -31.5ft/s^2

The new decelleration at a 35.0° down-angle will be:

31.5 ft/s^2 * cos 35 – g sin 35 = 7.43 ft/s^2

vf^2 = vi^2 + 2ad

d = (60mph)^2 / 2 (7.43 ft/s^2) ~= 521 feet
