Q: Why can’t I order towing mirrors on a 2010 Ford F-150 FX2 with max tow package?
I am attempting to build a 2010 F-150 FX2 with Max Tow (53M) and black manual telescoping power heated trailer tow signal mirrors (54P). I can order the basic tow package (535) and add tow mirrors (54P). However when I order the max tow package (53M) I can no longer order the towing mirrors (54P). I don’t understand why I can’t order tow mirrors with a towing package. I believe that this is a glitch in Ford’s build program. Help?

A: Great the straight 6 300 motor is by far the best motor ford has ever made ihave owned 3 f150’s two of them are 4×2 and the other was a 4×4 the biggest problem i’ve had with them is the rear wheel wells rot out and just body rust

Q: Ford F-150 HD edition vs. FX2?
I have been looking to buy a F-150 HD edition (2007 or 2008). As you know, this is a very sweet truck, but it’s way expensive. So I have been wondering if it was worth the money.
As an alternate, I started looking at FX2. Although those sweet emblems and some other outstanding features on HD make a huge difference (at least for me yes) between HD and FX2, I can see many merits from FX2. Its base price is about 5,000 dollars cheaper than that of HD edition, yet the way it looks is quite similar to HD. On top of that, FX2 has better gas mileage than HD (2008). I don’t need supercharger kit nor 4X4, so even though I buy a FX2, I think I will pretty much love it. But I am just wondering if this is a right choice or not (meaning if I won’t regret not to buy HD though I spend less $$$).
Any comments, opinions, and/or advice on this PLEASE…

A: Both are very nice. The HD will be more luxurious and has a more low-profile look to it, while the FX2 is sportier looking and can probably make sharp corners and accelerate faster. They are both high performance trucks though.

Q: how do i use the blue tooth on my ford f150?
i have a ford f-150 fx2 and on my center console it has a phone button but when i press it all it say is “no phone” or something like that….what do i do or how do i use it….thanks

A: I’v never had an F150, but most cars are the same.
Alright, check that blue tooth is switched on on your phone.
On the car, check all the settings, there is often one that says ’search for device’ or something like that.

Other than that, im out of ideas, sorry.

Q: Steering wheel shake on a brand new F-150 truck that has 20″ rims?
I am looking for a F-150 FX2 brand new and finally found “one”. It came out with 20″ Ford factory rims that look great. However, when I was test-driving, I noticed that I got a little shakes on steering wheel. It’s fine at lower speed. Once it gets about 60 mph+, it shakes. Other than that, everything’s fine (yes, it’s brand new).

I had them check tire pressure and re-testdrove, but it was the same. I did my research here and found that most of steering wheel shake issues come from misalignment/unbalanced tire balance. Because this is brand new, I doubt it.

I purchased a 07 Tundra with 20″ chrome wheels that were installed by Texas Toyota dealer (not Toyota). After driving 3K miles, I got severe shakes on steering wheel. I had them check it, and they replaced something (I don’t remember). Then it’s gone.

I am now thinking that the 20″ rims and tires make the shakes on the F-150. What do you think? Since this is the only one available, I need to buy this, but don’t want hassle

A: A shake felt in the steering at 60 mph or above is almost certainly a tire balance problem and just because it’s new doesn’t mean it couldn’t have a tire out of balance. Those wheels use stick on adhesive weights and some of the weights could have come off or it was just never properly balanced to begin with. Alignment problems rarely cause a vibration so I would have the tires re-balanced. It’s under warranty so just insist they fix it to your satisfaction prior to your buying it if you decide to.

Q: what is the best shallow mount 12″ subwoofer?
I drive a 2010 Ford F-150 FX2 and I understand i can only put shallow mount subs in my truck without losing seating space. What is the best shallow mount for rap music with a lot of bass (i want hard hitting). Would like to get a lot of input and hear from people who actually heard different subs or has subs to acount for. Thank you.

A: I heard that the memphis and jl audio shallow mount were very good subwoofer and not sure about kicker one but jl going cost you more than memphis but either way you go you will be happy all i can tell you to do is go to a car audio shop and listen to each one and see what one you like the most.
