A: No not really. but they do rate based on other things such as safety features and replacement cost. generally nissan altimas are not rated higher then a normal car.

A: Yes the Transmission is called Continiuosly Variable Transmission or CVT it is fully automatic.

A: So I worked at this Nissan dealership for a few years and we had this one customer who came in with an 09 Altima and he had it totally tricked out. I was talking to him about it and he did a lot of it all by himself. For the grille, he painted it. Sand it down to the base plastic though, don’t paint over the chrome/silver. He got taillights from yourhotcar.com. He got a body kit from there too. Performance upgrades though, you gotta stick with Nismo. Go to your Nissan dealership and ask them for Nismo parts list or something and then see what you want. Commonly, I’ve seen Nismo suspensions. I would recommend a AEM cold-air intake. He had that on his and it was beastly.

It has 94,000 miles.

A: I owned a 1997 Altima Limited Edition, and it was a great car. The interiors look a little cheap, but it has great function over form. The controls are super easy to use.

Handeling is decent for this car. It has an independent suspension, 4 wheel disk brakes and a 2.4L 4 cylinder that has good milage capabilities.

When I had mine, I averaged between 24-30MPG on the highway. But in order to get that milage, you have to be diligent on tune ups, oil changes, and not driving like a maniac.

They are fantastic little cars that are very underated.

Q: remote starter in an 08 nissan altima sedan?
i asked my dealer and they said they don’t install remote starter for this type of car. I can get an aftermarket one but usally remote starter comes with keyless entry, i still want to use my keyfob (like comming near it and it automaticly opens the door and u press the start button and stuff). Will the aftermarkey remote starter/keyless entry stop me from using the oem keyfob?

A: as far as i know remote start would make your car open market for a car theft due to steering lock is electrically controlled when car running steering unlocked and you can drive the vehicle .. also remote start needs a key inside to recognize the Nats program…if you find someone to attempt installing remote start remember that remote start also has to be spliced in to engine harness to detect start signal from coil pack which would be rather expensive to repair if failures to the coil are caused by remote start malfunction or to the main engine harness which can cost up to $1300 dollars ..and Nissan will not repair under warranty …

Q: 2007 nissan altima sedan gas tank problems?
i ran out of gas the other day and I used one of those 2 gal gas cans…well when I put the gas in the car I realized the plastic tip from the gas can fell inside the tube that feeds the gas tank. What or how can i take that out? I tried putting gas in my car yesterday and it took forever because it seems to me that the tip is stuck somewhere in between the tank and the filler opening creating a clogged drain effect, the gas goes in but real slow, any suggestions…help?

A: I would take that in to the Nissan dealership and tell them what happened. You don’t want to try to fool around with that yourself. And it’s not like you can reach in there.

Maybe… since plastic floats, if you fill the tank until it starts to overflow just a little, it’ll come out? That seems like it might work, but the bigger part of me is thinking that was a bad idea I just suggested.

A: Well, the altima coupe is shorter in length, lower in height, and have a shorter wheelbase. In terms of body panels, they share the same hood but every other major panels are different. The altima coupe also weighs less, all contributing to a sportier feel.

A: Yes 20” rims can fit on the 02-08 Altimas, actually you can get 22” on them as well. You just have to make sure you have a low profile tire like a 35 series, a great tire size for 20” without having to worry about any kind of rubbing what so ever is a 235/35/20. With 22” just get spring boosters for your back and the perfect tire for that is 235/30/22, i actually have a 255/30/22 tire made by nexen and they ride smooth.
