I drove my Grandmother’s Chevrolet Impala and it wasn’t even supercharged that car was fast. Now, a month later after reading and coming across on an Impala. I found out that they have already Supercharged for the Impala. I can imagine how fast that sucker goes if my grandmother’s regular stock Impala was that fast. Is this car definitely fast and who’s driven one?

A: Ok the 03 Impala SS had the 3800 Series II Supercharged and it only comes in the Automatic with Overdrive sad to say. It is pushing 240 hp and 280 lbs of torque. It would be one hell of a ride if it was a manual.

I have been looking at the tornado ( www.tornadoair.com ), and it says that the tornado can boost my fuel economy 28%. It also says that the tornado will perform even better if i have an aftermarket high flow air intake system. My question is, what is the best aftermarket high flow air intake system to put on my 2001 Chevrolet IMpala LS? It has a 3.8 litre engine, and has no current modificatioins, everything is stock. A: That’s a total waste of time and money. It’s unlikely that there is any better intake available on the market for your car than what is already on it. The tornado is worthless too. Any sort of turbulance that it may create will be lost in the rest of the intake anyway. The air has to split up 6 ways anyway, so how would one vortex work?

A: your impala should get between 18 and 24 sometime a bit more if you have the 3,8 motor. depending on the load–people,shopping bags etc..– and the condition of the car and you driving style it could be either better or worse. the malibu is 18 to 26 roughly.. my friend has an impala with a 3,8 in it and he averages arounf 24 . mostly onthe freeway and very little city driving.. its all in your foot !! good luck

I’m looking for a 1967 Chevrolet Impala, 4-door hardtop sedan, preferably black. I’ve checked a lot of websites and am having trouble finding one. It doesn’t need to be in fantastic condition or anything since I plan to restore it if needed. I understand they’re really hard to find, so if anyone happens to read this and is selling one, that would be great help as well. Any help I can get would be GREATLY appreciated.
A: I’ve had a 67 4dr impala for about 14 years now and have thought about selling it many times over the years. I don’t drive it much any more but it runs well and has some some minor modifications done over the years ie: rebuilt engine, 283, bored 30 over, dual exhaust, 4barrel carb with performance intake. It has a 2 speed powerglide trans and Crager SS rims. I could give you more detail about anything and everything about the car if you want. It was painted medium blue metallic a 1968 GM color about 8 years ago and still looks good except for a little rust around the fender wells. Let me know if you are interested or would like more specific info. I get offers for the car every time I take it for a drive but would probably part with it for a reasonable price.

I am defiantly looking into getting a 2006-2007 Chevrolet Impala LT with the Remote Starter on the key fob. I am browsing through the web and these prices are incredible for these Chevrolet Impala’s. I saw one with 27k miles for $10k. That is so cheap. I was wandering why are they so low? And I was curious to know are these cars durable to own? These prices are so low now days.
A: these cars have very common problems associated with GM’s
i work for a fleet company and i would not purchase one unless it still had factory warranty
some very common problems: steering shafts, blower motor resistors, wheel bearings (not so much on passenger cars),
these cars have special (DEX 6) transmission fluid, that quite often doesn’t get put back in when a service is done that leads to premature transmission failure
plus GM is being bailed out by the government, not a good place to be when you’re a car manufacturer

Q: How good is a 2005 Chevrolet Impala with 83,000 miles on the odometer?
I’m looking for answers from Impala owners that have experience.
For instance, I know from experience that a Toyota Camry with 100,000 miles is a very reliable car and should have no problems driving it.
A: Every car, no matter what the make is going to be different. One good running camry will be offset by another one that went to the junk yard at an early age. It all depends on how the car has been taken care of. One person driving the speed limit and slowing down on rough roads and doing all the scheduled maintenance, may get two hundred thousand miles, same car with someone that drives as fast as it will go and never slowing down for anything and changing the oil every 10,000 or so miles whether it needs it or not, may get 60,000 if their lucky.

I am looking at buying a used chevy impala. but do not know the difference between LTZ and LT3 they look to be the same but the LTZ is priced higher.

A: The best I can remember is the LTZ came w/ a beefier suspension and more performance. You can check out the links below and get alot better idea.

A: the 94, and 95 have digital gagues and the 96 has analog.

A: You really need to get quotes from body shops. They’ll discuss different options with you like how much you want to paint…examples being engine bay, door jambs, underside of the hood and trunk etc.
A decent respray would be at least $3K with all of the proper labor involved(it’s not a matter of just respraying the car).
